DECEMBER 2024 ART CHALLENGE - DESIGN A TRANSFORMER -

The situation of designing a cybertron as expressed below in the challenge. It got me thinking about what it could be. Then, in the way I see Christmas and I am a bit of a Grinch in some aspects of it, I thought about designing a Transformer similar to the Grinch. I didn't know what he could transform into, until I re-watched the Jim Carrey movie from the 2000s again. A tree would be the best costume this Christmas. Get two designs, the first is based on the 3D cartoon that came out recently and the other tries to make it similar to those from the 80's.

Your challenge this month is to design a Transforming mech that would be suitable in the Transformers Universe. A great way to present your conept would be to showcase the item/vehicle that the mech transforms into standing next to it. Put extra care into the elements of the vehicle, and how the pieces might form together once transformed. Color, shapes, and components of the source vehicle should translate directly to the mech mode, clearly communicating that they are one and the same. This is something that the Transformers films from Michael Bay did rather poorly, so I would recommend going back to the original designs from the 90s for inspiration.
